This book containing the three projects ‘Sehnzucht’, 'Sehnzucht: The Remix' and 'Interconnection’ is based on on Eva’s personal experience of becoming a mother; on the contradictory nature of the event and the conflicting emotions it creates— the awe at the incredible ’once in a lifetime’ beauty of motherhood mixed with feelings of daunting powerlessness and isolation. The cadance in the book emphasises these feelings by displaying the image’s and texts in a monotone repetitive way. The sometimes painfully honest texts chosen by Eva to accompany her image’s are printed on the inside of a closed page. Making them hard to read, as if these text were whispered to the reader.
